L’appartamento su due piani, risalente alla seconda metà del 1700, ha subito negli anni ‘50 del secolo scorso una ristrutturazione che ha portato molte alterazioni estetiche. Il lavoro da compiere è stato quindi quello di riscoprire i tratti antichi e valorizzarli attraverso la ristrutturazione. Sono state demolite molte pareti per ridare spazio agli antichi saloni, ricavando stanze ampie, luminose e confortevoli. Le colonne preesistenti restaurate e ricollocate, l’originale affresco sul soffitto è stato riportato alla luce, l’antico pavimento di assi in abete e la scala in ferro decapato, donano agli ambienti un tocco molto esclusivo e sottolineano con orgoglio, la loro lunga storia. Nel salotto e nella sala da pranzo è stata creata un’intera parete scorrevole che, una volta aperta, raddoppia lo spazio utilizzabile. E’ proprio grazie a questi accorgimenti che vengono create nuove prospettive visive, lo spazio cambia in modo dinamico: una perla veramente rara tra gli appartamenti storici di Trieste. Il secondo piano, un affascinante open-space, è protetto dalle antiche travi restaurate e riportate all’ antico splendore. Trovano spazio un comodo letto, un mobile con nicchia per tv disegnato su misura, il bagno con la sauna e un salottino che ospita gli armadi e la zona studio.

The apartment is on two floors, dating from the second half of 1700 , has been in the 50s of last century, a restructuring that has brought many aesthetic alterations . The work to be done was therefore to rediscover the ancient features and enhance them through restructuring. Many walls were demolished to give space to the ancient halls , obtaining large, bright and comfortable. The existing pillars restored and relocated , the original ceiling fresco was brought to light , the old floorboards spruce and pickled iron staircase , give the rooms a very exclusive touch and emphasize with pride, their long history . In the living room and the dining room was created an entire wall of sliding that, once opened, it doubles the usable space. And thanks to these measures that are created new visual perspectives, space changes dynamically, a truly rare gem among historic apartments in Trieste. The second floor, a charming open-space, is protected by the ancient beams renovated and restored to ‘ former glory. They fit a comfortable bed, a cabinet with custom-designed niche for tv, bathroom with sauna and a sitting area which houses lockers and study area
